About me
I believe that, at heart, all people worldwide want and need the same thing - love, kindness and compassion. I believe we are all children of the divine and can find that spirit within us to share with others. I love to find connections with people as well as with religions and spiritual practices. Beyond ego, we are all one.
I earned my bachelor of arts degree in Religion from the College of William and Mary and my masters of divinity (MDiv) from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. I received training at The Well in Smithfield, Virginia, where I earned a certificate in Spiritual Direction.
My work history includes over 20 years in the nonprofit sector, advocating on behalf of domestic violence survivors and supporting clinical services for the uninsured. I also served as a Youth Pastor and Church Administrator. My publications include You Don't Need to Have a Repeat Cesarean (1983) and The Shaman's Daughter (2014).
I was born in Newport News, Virginia, and I have lived in Williamsburg for over 35 years with my husband, Cary. Together in our blended family, we have six children and five grandchildren.
